God's Faithful Promise Blesses the Whole World

In any war 'why' is always disputed between warring parties. As the oldest nation on earth, Israel is recognized as being involved in more wars than any other nation. Israel became a nation when God appointed Moses to lead His people out of captivity in Egypt. The 'why' in this war was obvious: Pharoah wanted to keep the children of Israel as slaves. God wanted to lead the children of Israel to the land He had promised to Abram, the progenitor of the race of Abraham.

Israel's history began about 1,000 years before Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt. God called a man named Abram to become His spokesperson to all other nations. In Genesis 12 we read, "Now the Lord said to Abram, 'Go forth from your country, and from your relatives, and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you, and I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing, and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.'"

Israel has defended their land from all who attacked them for more than 4,000 years. Israel lives and thrives in the same land God promised to Abraham. Over those years hundreds of nations that cursed Israel have disappeared. Many of those nations had vowed to wipe Israel from the face of the earth!

Today Israel and Jews everywhere are the most hated people on earth according to the United Nations and other organizations that measure those kinds of things. Israel stands alone with the notable exception of President Trump and those who love the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Why have other nations hated Israel and Jews for more than 4,000 years?

Enemies of Israel hate God Who created the heavens and the earth. Coincidentally enemies of Christians hate the same God, Creator of heaven and earth.

Hamas, the radical Islamic terrorist group took control of the Gaza Strip in 2007 after the election of 2006. Hamas hates Israel and calls them the little Satan. Hamas hates the USA and calls us the big Satan. President Trump led negotiations to establish the Abraham Accords to normalize relations between Israel and their Muslim and Arab neighbors, and hope for peace in the Middle East.

That hope was crushed again October 7, 2023, when Hamas terrorists led forces of Palestinian militants in a surprise attack that murdered more than a thousand innocent citizens. Islamic terrorists mutilated and destroyed civilians and families in their own homes. This was the worst day of carnage against the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

The next day, Israel declared war for the first time since the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The IDF primarily wanted to dismantle Hamas and return more than 240 hostages to Israel.

As we remember the atrocities Islamic terrorists wrought on Israel three years ago, let's also thank God for His faithful promise of blessings for Israel and the rest of the world through them. God gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to give eternal life to whoever believes in Him. God has faithfully kept His promise to Israel and the whole world.
