R by Kara Culp We were certain our plan would work. Arrive at Crechale’s a little before opening at 4:00pm - the perfect early bird time for little Bob’sbirthday dinner. Surely, we would beat the evening crowd by a good 2 hours and get home just in time for bathtime. It turns out half of Jackson had the same plan and the very kind hostess told us that folks started lining up outside before 3:30pm. Time is running out before Crechale’s Café February 15 closing date and everyone is trying to savor their last batch of onion rings and house made comeback sauce. We just couldn’t wait two hours for a table. Fortunately, we had a plan “B.” Just down the road from Raymond, B-Town steakhouse in Bolton, was the perfect venue to celebrate Bob’s 2nd birthday. B-Town closed last year after changing handsseveral times and re-opened with new ownership in September 2025. I am happy to report that the food was better than ever and the atmosphere was fun and Lindsey, and her husinviting. There were colband, Caleb. One of the most dependable and stylish houseplants I recommend is Sansevieria, commonly known as snake plant or motherin-law’s tongue. Though widely recognized as Sansevieria, its current genus name is Dracaena trifasciata. With dozens of varieties available, there is a Sansevieria for every home and every level of gardener. These are durable plants. To give you an idea of what I mean, my mother has a Sansevieria that is almost as old as me. It has survived moves, changing light conditions and the occasional missed watering, and it is still growing strong today. That kind of longevity is hard to beat in a houseplant.
