TERRY NEWS BY CAROLYN CLEMENTS cjclements@bellsouth.net or 601-955-6695 The Two MS Museums will host Juneteenth Jubilee on Friday, June 19th from 4 until 8 pm. The public is invited. A very pleasant day in Natchez on Sat with friends.

We were attending First Families of MS June meeting. It was held in Stanton Hall. Pleased to report that Stanton Hall Carriage House Restaurant has reopened.

The food was delicious. There are two items on menu from the past -frozen fruit salad and tomato aspic salad. Surely brought back fond memories.

The morning started with a welcome party and after lunch an interesting program was presented on the Natchez territory. A business meeting con- cluded the day. The State of MS will be celebrating America 250 on June 20th at The Two MS Museums.

There will be childrens activities and a presentation of patriotic music by MS Symphony Orchestra. The America Two Fifty committee is requesting municipali- ties to ring all bells in the community at 12 Noon on July 4. On July 8 a request to have the Declaration of Independence read to public, as in Philadelphia in 1776.

The Town of Terry will have the public reading in Terry City Hall on June 8 at 1 o'clock. We urge everyone to attend. Kathy Henry, a friend and State Chairman of America 250, brought down 100 pocket size version of Constitution, America 250 fans, buttons and stickers for Saturday, July 11th.

The items will be given out with the parade and Park events. The Terry Historic Preservation Committee will be pre- sent with these items along with miniature flags for the children in attendance. We appreci- ate the historic and memorable hand outs for the Town of Terry. Kathy even deliv- ered them and left on back door steps.

Thank you, Kathy. It was so nice hearing from the Shelbys', our oldest and dearest family friends. Edwina has been having some orthopedic issues, however, coping with it, as always.

She has been a trooper with physical therapy. We admire her tenacity. She is always wanting to help others.

Thank you, Paula, Edwin and Edwina!
