The Terry Woman's Club met on Thursday afternoon at the Episcopal Church of Good Shepherd. The members and guests enjoyed refreshments and decorations by Pam Jones and Faye Fife, hostesses. The program was conducted by Tory Earls of the Woodmen of the World Organization. It is the last regular meeting for the year.

The Creative Collectors Club had an outdoor meeting on a beautiful patio of a Woodland Hills home last week. The hostess is known for her gardens and ability to grow most anything. There were gorgeous peonies, lemon trees, persimmons and more that are grown in large garden pots. The vegetable garden is in another section of the yard and features raised beds.

The family has bees and noted for the best honey around. To top it off the family also has chickens and fresh eggs daily. After an informative program the members went to Brent Drugs in Woodland Hills for lunch. Then a special treat followed for a group that visited Interior Market next door and found unique items and gifts.

The April monthly board meeting for the Town of Terry was held Tuesday evening in the Community Center. The Mayor and four board members were present. The fifth vacant position for the board will be decided on Tuesday, April 21 at Terry City Hall. Both candidates, Jenkins and Barfield were present and gave a brief introduction of their backgrounds and platforms. Remember to Vote!!

After the meeting I visited with Gertrude and Bessie Gibson. They are truly old family friends. Bessie lives in Evansville, ill and looked as attractive as ever. We enjoyed reminiscing about the past and our youth, which now seems to be the best years.

The Terry Historical Committee held their meeting in the Terry Library. Present were: Andy Wade, Virginia Bailey and Carolyn Clements. The members discussed the upcoming board meeting and presentation of the Terry Arboretum designation in Village Square Park. There will be more news coming on this community endeavor.
