The Friends of Terry production of "Tangled in Tinsel" was delightful. The food is always amazing. There were several scenes and program concluded with a Hometown of Tuna, Texas Christmas Show. Among those attending were: Kathy Hardy, Wava Peters and Sylvia McDavid. Also enjoyed sitting with The Slays' from Crystal Springs. A really fun evening.
Recent updates on health issues include: Rachael Patterson was recently moved to a nursing home in Clinton. We want to remember the Patterson family in our thoughts and prayers. Also, Edwina Shelby that is under physicians care.
A nice time was spent in Natchez recently. The MSSDAR hosts the yearly event of "Rosalie Day" at Rosalie Mansion and Gardens. The property is owned and operated by the MS daughters. It is a beautiful setting on the bluff of the MS River and is open for tours with a gift shop. There was an evening reception on Thursday and lunch on the grounds of Rosalie the following day. The library was decorated in a Dickens' type Christmas theme and will be the period of decoration chosen to use throughout the house this year. Also, a large set of china was on display that was donated recently. The weather was beautiful. Approximately two hundred daughters were in attendance from throughout the state.
