The Town of Terry election results for Alderman, held on Tuesday, are as follows: Barfield 75, Jones 65, Holly 55, Green 38. There will be a runoff between Barfield and Jones on Tuesday, April 21. Everyone is urged to come out and vote!

Recently there was an article on the small town of Georgetown in Copiah County. The article stated "Georgetown Changing for the Better". The small town has a population less than 300, however, it is showing great improvements. Georgetown has quite a few enhancements on the board. The town is currently working on a lighted walking trail in their park. They have received several small State grants that has assisted in this endeavor. Congratulations to the small Town of Georgetown!! Great progress.

There are blooms throughout the town of Terry to welcome in Spring. The azaleas, purple magnolias, red buds are beautiful. The parking lot at the park is busy throughout the day with patrons using the walking trail. I'm told there is an organized group of ladies that walk every morning starting at 4:30 am. Thats a real commitment! Joyce Wallace heads up the group.

The walking trail was built by the Lions Club of Terry. As I recall, Frank White chaired the project. This was such a worthwhile endeavor for the Town of Terry. Thank you Lions Club!!

The cemetery looked nice. The grounds were cut and most of the markers had beautiful flowers in Spring colors for Easter. It is so rewarding to remember our loved ones in such a special way.
